Our family is always on the go...between school, work, errands, and sports it seems like we are out and about for long periods of time at least a few times a week! With two kiddos it is inevitable that at some point in time someone will be asking for something to drink. It is very important to me that I have something cold and refreshing to offer them at all times. When it comes to my slippers I can be a bit picky! After a long day on my feet running errands, playing with the kids, and keeping up with the house, I need and want a slipper that I can put on and not struggle with! I also loved that the slipper felt snug on my feet. 

My absolute favorite thing about the slippers were the sturdy hard bottomed soles. This was such an added bonus for me because my washer and dryer are in the garage and these were just perfect for the cold and not so clean concrete floors!

BOYS WholesaleHalloweenCostumes.com {review}

When most people think of costumes or dressing up, Halloween comes to mind! But, not at our house! My kids love dressing up so much that they would wear a costume every single day if I would let them get away with it! I believe that dress up and costume play is an extremely important part of imaginative play that helps my kiddos explore new people and places just by make believing they are someone or something else for a short period of time! 

Little Dude was recently able to review a boys costume from WholesaleHalloweenCostumes.com! He was beyond excited to be able to add something new to his small but very special stash of dress up costumes. He scoured the pages of the website looking for something that caught his eye (although I knew what he would  pick) and eventually picked out the Kids Jr. Swat Costume.

How awesome is this! Please note that the costume comes with the jumpsuit and the hat. The boots and glasses belong to Little Dude.

{Review}

What Mommy thought:

What I absolutely loved and appreciated the most about this costume was the material and the durability of it. I have seen (and purchased) so many costumes that are so poorly made and are so thin that they are almost sheer. Well, not this one! It is thick...very thick to be exact, and it has heavy duty stitching that I know will hold up for the many washings it will go through-if I can ever get  Little Dude to take it off! Something else that also screamed "great quality" to me was the fact that all of the lettering you see on the jumpsuit and the hat are in fact embroidered on. 

What Little Dude thought:

Aside from feeling totally "cool" in the costume he picked, Little Dude said that his favorite things about it were that: 1. It was a jumpsuit and not two pieces. He said that "real Swat Teams" wear jumpsuits! 2. He loved all of the patches. He said that "people might think he is really a Swat Team guy if they see his patches". 3. He is obsessed with all of the zippers! He had them filled with all sorts of odds and ends the second he slipped into the costume!

I was very lucky to receive two yummy Top Chef Inspired Cafe Steamers for review. I received Grilled Chicken Pesto with Vegetables and Roasted Chicken Marsala with Mushrooms. Upon receiving the meals the very first thing I noticed was that the packaging was marked with the Top Chef logo...I loved that because  it would make it very easy to find this exclusive line while shopping among everything else. I also loved the fact that the sauce is separate from the rest of the food. Although the meals are prepared in the microwave the veggies were crisp and in no way "mushy" like others that I have tried. This seems to be because of the unique steaming technology. Of the two that I reviewed I found myself leaning more towards the Grilled Chicken Pesto with Vegetables...don't worry my hubby preferred the Roasted Chicken Marsala with Mushrooms so much that he happily finished it up for me!

I am looking forward to continuing to wear them as much as I possibly can. I can't wait to see my continued results! Yay!

When I was offered the chance to make my very own Bellflower Book I knew exactly what I wanted to make. I chose to make a family recipe book full of my favorite recipes that each family member makes. I have always had the hardest time finding not only a shade of foundation that matches my skin but also one that wont irritate my sensitive skin. I have tried more foundations than I can count on two hands and I always run into some problem. The Oxygenetix foundation has not only met my expectations in what a foundation should be, but it has surpassed them. The color blended into my skin. It left my dry skin(especially around my eyes) feeling and looking moisturized without leaving me with a layer of oil sitting on my skin at the end of the day. Best of all I had not one single breakout. That in itself is extremely important to me because I do still suffer from the embarrassment of adult acne from time to time. One of my favorite things about the foundation was the way it settled onto or should I say into my skin. I have two scars near my mouth and one that runs across my eyelid and in between my eyes. Because the scars are newer they are still redish in color but were easily covered. The foundation didn't clump oddly in the scars either. It kind of built up a "second skin" within the scars and the appeared to diminish until the foundation was removed. 

The Oxygenating Moisturizer:

The moisturizer is a breathable pro-healing moisturizer. It has the same "second skin" formula as the foundation mentioned above. While most other moisturizers sink into the skin or sit on the surface blocking vital oxygen flow to the skin, this moisturizer forms a "second skin" to provide instant hydration while helping to reduce the signs of a procedure. 

{Review}

I am very hard to please when it comes to my moisturizer...even harder than my foundation if you can believe that! I can honestly say that I love this moisturizer so much that I hope to continue to use it in my daily routine as long as possible. While I really did love the foundation, I must say that the moisturizer was my favorite of the two products I reviewed. It left my skin so soft, even, and hydrated like nothing I have ever used before. It worked great around my eyes where I am extremely dry and usually red in appearance-without stinging my eyes! Once the moisturizer was applied I was not left with shiny or that overly lotioned looking skin. It felt like it became one with my skin...it is very hard to explain the way it felt other than it is my new favorite and  probably the best I have ever used. One of my favorite things is the way it smells...silly I know. But I am assuming that it is the grape seed that I am smelling-but I may be wrong. Anyhow it is light and pleasant.

The foundation is only on the left side of my face. My skin tone is much more even and the redness is covered.

Connie Wooldridge Books {review}

One of my favorite things to do is to curl up with the kiddos and read books. In fact, it has been my favorite part of our days for years, and both of the kids really look forward to it as well. We have just had the pleasure of reviewing two books written by Author Connie Wooldridge.

The two books we reviewed were Wicked Jack and Just Fine The Way They Are.

Wicked Jack is meaner than a rattlesnake. This book is an adaptation of old folktales which are said to be where the origin of Jack-O-Lanterns came from. The book was a little on the spooky side while still staying age appropriate. It was a fun way to learn about the old folktale, and just in time for Halloween!

Just Fine The way They Are is a really great book about the way the dirt roads of the 1800's turned into the U.S. highway system of today. Little Dude especially loved this book. It was great because it really kept him interested in the story while he got to learn about dirt roads, rail roads, and interstates.

Slugs and Bugs {review}

I have a really cute review today from Slugs and Bugs.

Slugs and Bugs is an adorable array of children's music that is sold within Family Christian stores.

The first album Slugs & Bugs & Lullabies was created by Andrew Peterson & Randall Goodgame. 

It is absolutely cute with a great message for young children. Little Diva just loved it! 

The second Slugs & Bugs album is called Slugs & Bugs Under Where?

This album was created by Randall Goodgame. You may recognize his name...as he has written songs for Veggie Tales! Slugs & Bugs Under Where? comes out on October 25th!

Little Diva really enjoyed both of the albums! If you have a little one who loves music as well, and you are looking for age appropriate music that contains a sweet message, Slugs & Bugs may just be for you!

Arrrr Matey's! Halloween is quickly approaching us, and boy oh boy do I have a great review for you today!

After browsing the website we finally decided on the perfect Halloween costume to review. We chose the Toddler Precious Pirate Costume. As you can see in the picture below it is absolutely adorable!

Little Diva is a petite little thing...but the costume fit her perfectly( it is a size3/4). It ties around the waist, giving you the best fit possible. The dress and bandanna have the cutest little skull and cross-bones adding just enough spookiness! It also comes with boot covers that slip right over your shoes instantly transforming any boots into the "read deal"! The red and white striped tights just speak for themselves...they are cute beyond words!

We couldn't be any happier with the costume we received. If you decide to take advantage of Wholesale Costume Club's great selection of  toddler Halloween costumes you won't be sorry! They have tons to choose from for older children and Mommy's and Daddy's too.

If you know anything about me by now, you know that I love clothes and I love to shop! Most of my shopping is done for the kiddos, so when I got the chance to review an outfit from CheapesTees.com I was jumping for joy!

I must say that I am in love with both pieces. Really, I am head over heels in love! The yoga pants are made of very soft, but very thick stretch poly-cotton blend material. They fit like a glove thanks to the awesome waistband, that did not ever fold over or show what the good lord gave me when I bent over! I am only 5'1" and the size small was perfect in length. Score!

The T-shirt was also ah-ma-zing! It is very soft and breathable! I received the T-shirt in white so I had to pair it with a little tank underneath because it is quite sheer. But, I love it because you could put any color tank underneath to add a little pop of color to your outfit! 

I wore the outfit to Little Diva's soccer game and guess what....I had not one, not two, but three different Mom's ask where I got the pants from! Looks like I wasn't the only person who hates when yoga pants are way too long...and see through! Lucky for me I now have the cutest, most adorable, quality yoga pants on the soccer field! WooHoo! 

Here I am wearing my new outfit! Cute and comfy!
