Okay, so I don't know about you but I for one have been reading all about Dollar General stores around the Blogesphere for quite some time. I have honestly been a little bit envious of all the great deals everyone is chatting about. But here was my dillema...I have never had a Dollar General in the city that I live in...not even in my state! Well, that was then and this is now, because Dollar General is coming to California *insert happy dance here*!

I can not even begin to express how happy I am about a soon to be Dollar General in California

Maybe you are asking yourself- "why in the world is she so excited about a store?" Well, let me tell you a little bit about Dollar General so you can see why I'm about to dance right out of my pants!

Dollar General is not only an a store known by many for it's great deals but they also offer name brands at affordable prices! Uh huh...see where I'm coming from! They carry everything from home decor and clothes to household items and even food-if you are lucky enough to have a Dollar General Market in your area to do your grocery shopping! I am really crossing my fingers for one near me! As of right now the closest location to me is at 14532 Seventh Street Victorville, Ca. 92395. But, I have heard from a few sources that there is going to be one opening in Palmdale, Ca. as well. This location will be my go-to Dollar General Store just as soon as it opens!

Another reason I am so interested in Dollar General is because of their Literacy Foundation

"Dollar General's commitment to literacy is an integral part of the company's culture. In fact, Dollar General's co-founder, J. L. Turner, was functionally illiterate when he started the company."

"Dollar General believes learning to read, receiving your GED or learning the English language is an investment that opens doorways for personal, professional and economic growth. That is why our commitment to literacy remains strong. It is the one gift that no one can take away—the one gift that lasts a lifetime."

If you would like to see if there is a Dollar General location near your home or even just to lear a little more about the company you can visit their website at DollarGeneral.com

While visiting their website you will be able to sign up for email and text alerts. You can also connect with them on the Dollar General Facebook page.
