When I was offered the chance to make my very own Bellflower Book I knew exactly what I wanted to make. I chose to make a family recipe book full of my favorite recipes that each family member makes. I love the idea of being able to flip through my own recipe book whenever I need a little taste of home, and being able to create the recipes myself. Not to mention that it is so lovely that I will be saving it to pass down to Little Diva. The process of making the book online couldn't be any easier. They made all of the tools very simple to use. The hardest part was getting my family to send me the recipes! I love the process, the book, and the amazing ladies behind Bellflower Books!

Connie Wooldridge Books {review}

One of my favorite things to do is to curl up with the kiddos and read books. In fact, it has been my favorite part of our days for years, and both of the kids really look forward to it as well. We have just had the pleasure of reviewing two books written by Author Connie Wooldridge.

The two books we reviewed were Wicked Jack and Just Fine The Way They Are.

Wicked Jack is meaner than a rattlesnake. This book is an adaptation of old folktales which are said to be where the origin of Jack-O-Lanterns came from. The book was a little on the spooky side while still staying age appropriate. It was a fun way to learn about the old folktale, and just in time for Halloween!

Just Fine The way They Are is a really great book about the way the dirt roads of the 1800's turned into the U.S. highway system of today. Little Dude especially loved this book. It was great because it really kept him interested in the story while he got to learn about dirt roads, rail roads, and interstates.

If you want to learn more about these books you visit Connie Wooldridge's website at:
ConnieWooldridge.com. You can also connect on twitter here or on Facebook here

*you can also watch a trailer on the website and download lesson plans to go along with the book*

We had a great time reading both books, and I know that they will be on the top of our "book pile" for sometime!

Disclosure: I received these products free of charge from the PR agency/company to conduct a review and base my opinions on. No other form of compensation was received. All opinions are 100% my own and were not influenced in any way.

Just like most women, I have been sometimes all too consumed by food, diets, and what I eat! It is a horrible thing that most of us do to ourselves at one time or another. As I am quickly approaching the big 3-0 I can't help but to worry about my weight and staying healthy!

Well, you see the lovely Beth Aldrich has written a book with all of us in mind! It is a food love affair-like nothing you have ever seen!

The book is written in a mom-to-mom conversation tone, with friendly advice and recommendations. All to help you continue your love affair with food to look fabulous! Beth's approach to eating healthy, losing weight, and feeling fabulous, is simple and realistic for busy moms! You'll learn a lot about the foods you eat and how it impacts your body and still have loads of fun experiencing new foods and enjoying life!

Doesn't that sound great? I would personally love to get my hands on this great book!

"Pretty" book by Jillian Lauren {Review & Giveaway}

{Review}
Every once and a while I am lucky enough to find a book that really grabs a hold of me! A book that is far beyond a good read. I am talking about a book that tugs at your heart strings, makes you cringe, and has you wanting to reach out to the characters and help them. Jillian Lauren's "Pretty"  has accomplished just that. This is a book that I know I will read cover to cover, again and again! Jillian Lauren has such a way with story telling, she has left me begging for more! The odd details in the book draw you deep inside, looking for a place to take cover from the not-so-pretty saga of Bebe Baker!

*About Pretty*
 Beth Baker is an ex-everything! Ex-stripper, ex-Christian, ex-drug addict, ex-pretty girl! It has been one year since the car accident that killed her boyfriend has left her scarred and shaken. Flanked by an eccentric posse of friends, she is serving out a self-imposed sentence at a halfway house, while trying to finish cosmetology school. Amid the rampant diagnosis, over-medication, compulsive eating, and acrylic nails of Los Angeles, Bebe looks for something to believe in before something-her past, the dangerously magnetic men in her life, her own bad choices-knocks her off her course again.

Buy it:
"Pretty" is available for purchase by clicking here.
*The first 250 people to order "Pretty" from Amazon on 9/7  and email their receipt to Pretty.the.book@gmail.com will also receive a Limited Edition run of the "Pretty" necklace, made by FairyTale Jewels.
