Learning-Aids {Review and Giveaway} ARV $600

Learning-Aids is a program designed to "provide help for the struggling learner".

{About the program:}
This system was initially designed to help children who were showing signs of learning problems. But is now recommended for all children starting as early as 3 years old(in part). It is considered to be a very easy at home system which enhances the building blocks of learning.
Before looking through the program myself I had never even heard of things like having "mixed dominance". Simply put it means that one's dominant eye, hand, and foot are not all lined up. Which can lead to learning problems. Some of the problem areas the website addresses are:
*Dyslexia
*ADD
*ADHD
*Learning Difference
*Dyscalculia
*Dysgraphia
*Learning Disability
*Autism Spectrum Disorders

The program includes the following:
*Weekly brain retraining that rebuilds neural passages in the brain.
*Daily and weekly sensory building activities
*Easy to understand instructions
*Workbooks for independent activities
*One hour weekly sessions
*20 minute daily sessions
*Weekly lesson plans that are laid out and easy for anyone to use
*The tried and true formula that helps students achieve grade level success
{It is a 12 month program}

{Review}
The reason I have decided to give the program a try is because Little Dude has had a little bit of trouble in one of his academic areas. It is by no means something major, just something that needs a little tweaking. I am hoping that this program in part with school and some hard work(from both of us) will work out his little bump in the road, and any extra help a child gets can't hurt, right! One of my favorite things about the program thus far is the holistic approach to learning. The website also offers tons of information and free tests. I also love that there is a recommended amount of time you should spend on the program each week, but you can opt to work at your child's own pace. Because the program can last from 12-18 months, I will be periodically posting about Little Dudes progress and insight to how the program has worked for us.

A Hot Spot To Keep Your Kids Cool This Summer...

Just like all Moms with kids on summer vacation I have been looking for ways to keep my kids entertained while they are home. I live in Southern Ca. and it is HOT so it isn't always possible for us to be outside playing or even in the pool. But I have found the answer to those three dreaded words..."Mommy I'm bored!" While doing an online search for local places to visit (that were indoors) I stumbled upon Dig It! The Fossil Workshop. This place is pretty much a Moms dream come true they offer entertainment & education! WooHoo! So you may be asking yourself what is it? They are an interactive retail store we that offers prehistoric adventures. It's an opportunity to venture back 100 million years for an expedition of a lifetime. The kids can become a Paleontologist and a Geologist, excavate fossils and minerals in the Jurassic Sand Quarries. They can dig up prehistoric life discovering real fossils that are 5-6000 million years old, and become a geologist as they unearth rocks and minerals from all around the world. They can continue exploring and take home the specimens that they prepare at the preparation lab. The best part about these adventures is they get to take home the fossils and minerals. They also offer scout groups, school groups, as well as birthday parties. All of the adventures are hands on as well as educational. It doesn't get any better than that, right? Not to mention Little Dude is 100% dinosaur obsessed! We haven't had the chance to check them out yet but I can't wait to pay them a visit this summer! Do you have a favorite summer hot spot or is there somewhere you are just dying to go?
